Brussels, Belgium - Next week the European Commission will announce final anti-dumping and countervailing measures for the import of electric bicycles from China. It ended a legal process that took more than 15 months. With the legal deadline of January 19, 2019 approaching, the European Bicycle Manufacturers Association (EBMA) filled out the final details. In the European print edition of the bicycle released in December last year, the SG interviewing EBMA pointed out the possibility of appeals from stakeholders and individual companies to the final decision of the European Commission, and called for anti-dumping and countervailing measures. The anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Chinese-made electronic bicycles contradict the EU's strategy of allowing more people to ride bicycles.
